We apply research, scientific methods and data to find the best solution for your most complex challenges

Our approach

When you face a challenge, science has usually already solved it. We define the issue, find the right method, and apply it to your situation.

We're experts in understanding how data can be used to solve your challenge, and in making sure it is the right information, by finding it, structuring it and checking it is accurate.

We make available the scientific and statistical methods that are usually applied commercially by only a few of the largest organisations in the world.

Team

Our core 2-person team comes with respected scientific credentials and exceptional experience.

Profile photo of Dr. Jac Davis

Dr. Jac Davis

Dr Jac Davis is a Cambridge-trained scientist who works at the crossroads of data science, research and human behaviour, turning complex situations into evidence a client can act on.

Her research, from criminology to public health, is cited by the United Nations, the OECD, the NHS and the UK Parliament. Recent work includes an impact evaluation of a mentoring program for an international medical association, and a model of urban food security informing urban agriculture planning in African cities. She is currently researching how people make fast, accurate decisions from little information.

Profile photo of Dr. Jegar Pitchforth

Dr. Jegar Pitchforth

Dr Jegar Pitchforth combines skills in data science, software engineering and statistical methods, focused on solving real organisational challenges.

Before founding Mirror Analytics and Scientific Microservices, he built the data science infrastructure behind Booking.com's real estate function, one of the most profitable data teams in the world at the time.

He also worked on algorithms for sequencing the HIV genome. He writes about how statistics can solve issues as varied as theme park design and saving koala habitats.

Testimonials

We work with the best.

The best data partners I've worked with. I consider myself fairly strong with data, but the insights they delivered were truly next level, uncovering patterns we simply hadn't seen before.
